New Mobility Workshops

My work includes speaking engagements as a guest lecturer, key-note speaker, and panel discussion member. I also present an original full-day workshop for transportation planners on the impacts and opportunities for cities with the arrival of automated vehicles and other New Mobility technologies. I present this workshop in Toronto in partnership with my colleague Bern Grush, author of the 2018 book “The End of Driving: Transportation Systems and Public Policy Planning for Autonomous Vehicles”.

Topics covered in this workshop

  • Vehicle Automation – barriers and accelerators
  • Economic, Environmental, and Social Impacts of these changes on cities
  • Risks & Opportunities for transportation and land use
  • AV Shuttle Microtransit – what we have learned so far
  • Ride-hailing Services – strategies for managing and partnering
  • Integration with Public Transit – areas of impact and collaboration
